TOYOTA TUNDRA AND LEXUS LX RECALLED OVER ENGINE FAILURE

Certain Toyota Tundra and Lexus Lx particularly

those produced in 2022 and 2023 have been recalled.

The total cars to be recalled have been estimated to be about 102,000.

The recall is for the gas powered models and not the hybrid powertrains.

The recall of the vehicles is coming after it was discovered that some debris from production might not have been removed.

The debris can adhere to the crankshaft main bearing which can cause it to fail.

The Engine can also 'knock' or even make it to lose power. Lost of such power at high speed increases the risk of a crash.

All affected owners are to be provided with repair at no extra cost under warranty.
